Highly recommend this company! It was easy to schedule; the price was reasonable. Don was professional, arrived on time, and did a great job cleaning our dryer vent. He even shortened the ductwork by 2-3 feet to make it more efficient. We’ll definitely call them to do this again in a few years and, at that time, have them open up the dryer and remove lint from inside.

I am so pleased with the work done by James from Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning. After speaking with the owner, I got a fair price to have my dryer completely cleaned (other companies would not give a price over the phone). Dennis, of Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning, saved the day yesterday. My dryer was not drying. The clothes were coming out moist! I noticed the vent flap on the outside of the house was not opening. It’s 20+ feet off the ground. No way I could get to it. I called several companies to no avail. Finally reached Dennis around 1:30 or so. Said he had a job in McLean but thought he could get to me after that. Sure enough, around 4PM, I got a text saying he’d be to me in 15 minutes! It was getting dark now, but he quickly put up a ladder to discover the vent flap was pretty rusty and needed replaced. No doubt as it was metal and had been up there for about 24 years. He removed the existing assembly, installed a new and better vent assembly, and caulked around it. We tested it by turning on the dryer. The new flap assembly now opened to let moist hot air out the vent pipe and the clothes I put back in the dryer dried quickly. Dennis went way beyond what I could have expected. I am recommending him to my neighbors and will only use him when the need arises. Much thanks Dennis!!!

What can I add that I has not been written already about Urban Dryer Vent Cleaning? I scheduled an appointment via text. Don, the technician, came Saturday afternoon. He was friendly and professional. He provided photos. Wow, the vent was really clogged with lint! The cleanup was thorough, and the only evidence Don was here is how well the dryer is now performing!

Just the best customer service. So easy to book and communicate, punctual service and super thorough. I thought we just needed a vent cleaning and that’s why our dryer was setting of the error code, (which we absolutely did) but there was also a part that needed replacing. Even though my appointment was later in the day, the owner still went to the store to buy the part and came back to do the repair that evening. Would recommend to anyone and will absolutely use moving forward.

This is a company you can trust to do the work well at a fair price. We had a semi “emergency” when we noticed heat in our laundry room. Access to the dryer prohibited me from determining what was happening behind the unit. Urbana Dryer and Vent responded promptly to my call. The technician, James, moved the unit and discovered the exhaust hose had become disconnected from the wall due to a poor installation 3 years ago. He not only thoroughly cleaned the area and vent piping but fixed the problem by modifying the wall connection making it more secure than the simple tape connection done originally. The tape had failed due to the heat in the exhaust.

I had Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning come out to clear two exhaust vents from our bathroom where a few birds decided to build a nest a few months back. The air exhaust flow was not great, so we decided to go with Urbana Vent Cleaning as they had excellent on-line reviews. We couldn't be more satisified! James kept us apprised of what he planned to do -- clean out vents, place a barrier screen for both vents, and clean up twig piles of twigs he extracted from both vents as well as provide a price for the services. Excellent experience with Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning! Our transition duct burst open and was venting dust and moisture into the finished basement. Urbana DVC came the same day, replaced the duct with a more sturdy material, cleaned the clogged lint from the back of the dryer and made sure the vent outside was blowing properly. Very personable, efficient and honored the quoted price given during the phone consultation. James took before and after photos to show the dramatic improvement and I have eliminated the fear of a fire hazard from compacted lint sparked by the dryer heating element.

Diagnosed the issue quickly as a wiring issue. Easy to work with, helpful. Quick fix (and he had the needed parts) but did a full dryer service while he was there. Super friendly and helpful

We called for dryer vent service. Dennis was very friendly and said he would try to get someone out that afternoon. Sure enough James, our technician showed up and cleaned our dryer vent. He did a great job. We also had a problem with nesting birds in an exhaust vent. The next day James came back and cleaned the exhaust vent and put a cover over the vent to stop the problem from coming back. Very satisfied with Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning company, would highly recommend.

A competitor was booking appointments 3 weeks out so I used Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning. It was really easy to make an appointment online. The owner came he was very thorough. He helped answer questions for venting the dryer for a remodel, cleaned vent, installed a new tube, replaced a cheap plastic bird cage with a new metal one and told us how to clean and when. Follow up visits are discounted $50. Very impressed and happy!

We had a torn hole in our dryer vent hose and called Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning. We received a very reasonable quote and scheduled for the next day. Dennis was extremely professional and kind through the entire process. He was not only thorough in his work, but also in explaining everything, including how we can do basic maintenance and monitoring to keep things working well and reduce fire hazards. 24 hours later, the issue has been fixed for a low price, I feel confident in the work and taking care of things moving forward, and know exactly who I will call next time I have another dryer need.

Dennis was great! On time and professional. We have had our vent cleaned before but never the inside of the dryer. Like that he gets up into the attic to check the connections and not just cleans the vent. The dryer is 9 years old and it is running just like the first day I got it. Don't call anyone else! Dennis is extremely professional and knowledgeable about what he does. He took my entire dryer apart and showed me all the lint and hair that was building up inside. Dennis from Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning just cleaned my dryer vent. He was awesome! He showed me where we were very close to having a fire in the dryer from the build up of lint near the motor. He took apart the dryer to get all the lint that was in the dryer parts inside. This lint can start a fire more easily than the lint in the vent. He showed me all the lint that he blasted outside and made sure a clog in the middle was evacuated as well. Then he made sure everything was working and vacuumed up before he left! Definitely would recommend this company to everyone! We are in Ellicott City.

If you don't remember when you last had your dryer vent cleaned and notice your clothes are taking longer to dry, get him to come check it out - it can be a real fire hazard. Highly recommend this company! It was easy to schedule; the price was reasonable. Don was professional, arrived on time, and did a great job cleaning our dryer vent. He even shortened the ductwork by 2-3 feet to make it more efficient. Dennis, of Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning, saved the day yesterday. My dryer was not drying. The clothes were coming out moist! I noticed the vent flap on the outside of the house was not opening. It’s 20+ feet off the ground. No way I could get to it. I called several companies to no avail. Finally reached Dennis around 1:30 or so. Said he had a job in McLean but thought he could get to me after that. Sure enough, around 4PM, I got a text saying he’d be to me in 15 minutes! It was getting dark now, but he quickly put up a ladder to discover the vent flap was pretty rusty and needed replaced. No doubt as it was metal and had been up there for about 24 years. He removed the existing assembly, installed a new and better vent assembly, and caulked around it. We tested it by turning on the dryer. The new flap assembly now opened to let moist hot air out the vent pipe and the clothes I put back in the dryer dried quickly. Dennis went way beyond what I could have expected. I am recommending him to my neighbors and will only use him when the need arises. Much thanks Dennis!!!

Just the best customer service. So easy to book and communicate, punctual service and super thorough. I thought we just needed a vent cleaning and that’s why our dryer was setting of the error code, (which we absolutely did) but there was also a part that needed replacing. This is a company you can trust to do the work well at a fair price. We had a semi “emergency” when we noticed heat in our laundry room. Access to the dryer prohibited me from determining what was happening behind the unit. Urbana Dryer and Vent responded promptly to my call. The technician, James, moved the unit and discovered the exhaust hose had become disconnected from the wall due to a poor installation 3 years ago. He not only thoroughly cleaned the area and vent piping but fixed the problem by modifying the wall connection making it more secure than the simple tape connection done originally. The tape had failed due to the heat in the exhaust.

I had Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning come out to clear two exhaust vents from our bathroom where a few birds decided to build a nest a few months back. The air exhaust flow was not great, so we decided to go with Urbana Vent Cleaning as they had excellent on-line reviews. We couldn't be more satisified! Excellent experience with Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning! Our transition duct burst open and was venting dust and moisture into the finished basement. Urbana DVC came the same day, replaced the duct with a more sturdy material, cleaned the clogged lint from the back of the dryer and made sure the vent outside was blowing properly. Very personable, efficient and honored the quoted price given during the phone consultation. James took before and after photos to show the dramatic improvement and I have eliminated the fear of a fire hazard from compacted lint sparked by the dryer heating element.

We called for dryer vent service. Dennis was very friendly and said he would try to get someone out that afternoon. Sure enough James, our technician showed up and cleaned our dryer vent. He did a great job. We also had a problem with nesting birds in an exhaust vent. The next day James came back and cleaned the exhaust vent and put a cover over the vent to stop the problem from coming back. A competitor was booking appointments 3 weeks out so I used Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning. It was really easy to make an appointment online. The owner came he was very thorough. He helped answer questions for venting the dryer for a remodel, cleaned vent, installed a new tube, replaced a cheap plastic bird cage with a new metal one and told us how to clean and when. Follow up visits are discounted $50. Very impressed and happy!

Dennis was great! On time and professional. We have had our vent cleaned before but never the inside of the dryer. Like that he gets up into the attic to check the connections and not just cleans the vent. The dryer is 9 years old and it is running just like the first day I got it. Dennis from Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning just cleaned my dryer vent. He was awesome! He showed me where we were very close to having a fire in the dryer from the build up of lint near the motor. He took apart the dryer to get all the lint that was in the dryer parts inside. This lint can start a fire more easily than the lint in the vent. He showed me all the lint that he blasted outside and made sure a clog in the middle was evacuated as well. Then he made sure everything was working and vacuumed up before he left! Definitely would recommend this company to everyone! We are in Ellicott City.

If you don't remember when you last had your dryer vent cleaned and notice your clothes are taking longer to dry, get him to come check it out - it can be a real fire hazard. Highly recommend this company! It was easy to schedule; the price was reasonable. Don was professional, arrived on time, and did a great job cleaning our dryer vent. He even shortened the ductwork by 2-3 feet to make it more efficient. We’ll definitely call them to do this again in a few years and, at that time, have them open up the dryer and remove lint from inside.

Dennis, of Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning, saved the day yesterday. My dryer was not drying. The clothes were coming out moist! I noticed the vent flap on the outside of the house was not opening. It’s 20+ feet off the ground. No way I could get to it. I called several companies to no avail. Finally reached Dennis around 1:30 or so. Said he had a job in McLean but thought he could get to me after that. Sure enough, around 4PM, I got a text saying he’d be to me in 15 minutes! It was getting dark now, but he quickly put up a ladder to discover the vent flap was pretty rusty and needed replaced. No doubt as it was metal and had been up there for about 24 years. He removed the existing assembly, installed a new and better vent assembly, and caulked around it. We tested it by turning on the dryer. The new flap assembly now opened to let moist hot air out the vent pipe and the clothes I put back in the dryer dried quickly. Dennis went way beyond what I could have expected. I am recommending him to my neighbors and will only use him when the need arises. Much thanks Dennis!!!

Just the best customer service. So easy to book and communicate, punctual service and super thorough. I thought we just needed a vent cleaning and that’s why our dryer was setting of the error code, (which we absolutely did) but there was also a part that needed replacing. This is a company you can trust to do the work well at a fair price. We had a semi “emergency” when we noticed heat in our laundry room. Access to the dryer prohibited me from determining what was happening behind the unit. Urbana Dryer and Vent responded promptly to my call. The technician, James, moved the unit and discovered the exhaust hose had become disconnected from the wall due to a poor installation 3 years ago. He not only thoroughly cleaned the area and vent piping but fixed the problem by modifying the wall connection making it more secure than the simple tape connection done originally. The tape had failed due to the heat in the exhaust.

I had Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning come out to clear two exhaust vents from our bathroom where a few birds decided to build a nest a few months back. Excellent experience with Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning! Our transition duct burst open and was venting dust and moisture into the finished basement. Urbana DVC came the same day, replaced the duct with a more sturdy material, cleaned the clogged lint from the back of the dryer and made sure the vent outside was blowing properly. He did a great job. We also had a problem with nesting birds in an exhaust vent. Dennis from Urbana Dryer Vent Cleaning just cleaned my dryer vent. He was awesome! He showed me where we were very close to having a fire in the dryer from the build up of lint near the motor. He took apart the dryer to get all the lint that was in the dryer parts inside. This lint can start a fire more easily than the lint in the vent. He showed me all the lint that he blasted outside and made sure a clog in the middle was evacuated as well. Then he made sure everything was working and vacuumed up before he left! Dryer Vent Inspection
We perform thorough dryer vent inspections to identify any building code violations or efficiency concerns and will provide expert recommendations for improvement.
Poor construction practices are becoming more common with the rise in construction in the DMV area. We often see ducts improperly connected, improper materials used, and improper covers installed.
If your dryer vent is visibly accessible anywhere in the home, we want to see it. If necessary, we can perform a camera inspection to identify internal problems such as disconnected ducts behind walls and ceilings.
We also have instruments that can check your dryer’s outlet temperature, the back-pressure in your dryer vent and the flow rate in your vent. If there’s a problem, we’ll find it.

We Use Rotary Brushes and Air to Clean Dryer Vents
We clean the entire length of your dryer vent, using a rotary brush and a powerful blower/vacuum. We have simple nylon brushes that work just fine in most cases. If necessary, we can use steel bristle brushes as well. Steel brushes are only necessary in some cases. We use the right tools for the job.
Many other companies, pretending to be professional vent cleaners, will show up with just a shop-vac or a leaf blower. This doesn’t do anything. Lint sticks to the duct and must be mechanically scrubbed with a brush before air will move it.

We Clean Dryer Vents from the Inside
We clean the dryer vent from the inside out and verify that the brush travels the full length of the vent. This is preferred because we can inspect the transition duct (the duct from the dryer to the main duct line).
Transition duct leakage is the number one cause of dryer fires in our experience. Basically, if lint is leaking behind the dryer it gets sucked into the air intake vents on the back of the dryer and can accumulate inside on and around the heater element. If you clean the vent from the outside only, you might damage or loosen the transition duct and actually create a fire hazard! There are times when it is appropriate to do this, but it’s not our normal practice.
We ensure your dryer transition duct is hooked up airtight when we’re done. We can also replace the transition duct if necessary.

Roof Dryer Vent Cleaning
Roof dryer vents are very common in the DMV, particularly in new home construction where the laundry room is on the top floor of the home. Roof dryer vents are more problematic than other vents because you can’t see them and the covers often clog easier.
We are experts in cleaning roof dryer vents. A dryer vent on the roof is not properly cleaned unless the roof cover and flap is cleaned also. This can only be done from the roof or the attic. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
